This method still works for me.

You can not download the auto-suggested java version download the offline 32 bit installer.

I have some old network switches that use java, and this allowed me to login into their GUI, rather than telneting around.

Don’t forget to get an up to date version of java at least.

You can try downloading an offline version of Java… but all Firefox v52+ Releases disable all plugins except for Flash.

This post was from a couple of years ago. I’ll have someone update it and see if maybe Firefox restructured itself. That’s the problem with doing browser tutorials. Things change so rapidly, it’s hard to keep up sometimes. 🙂
