When it comes to determining a website’s success, it goes hand in hand with that website’s SEO. There are many tools that can help you manage and improve website optimization, but today we will focus on Wincher Rank Tracker.
This plugin focuses on improving your rankings on Google in an easy and efficient manner. The plugin is based on the actual Wincher.com, which has more capabilities than the plugin itself.
Today, I will demonstrate how to improve your website’s SEO with Wincher Rank Tracker.
This plugin is for:
WordPress 5.9
Plugin: Wincher Rank Tracker v3.0.0
Why Is SEO So Important For Websites?
Ever wonder how Google decides what websites appear when you search for a term?
Well, odds are you already know, it’s based on those websites’ SEO. The better a website performs, the higher it ranks. Thus every website owner is trying to get that top spot, but that’s just not possible.
Therefore, every creator is doing everything possible to optimize a website’s rankings. And as you probably already know or expect, there are a lot of businesses and tools that are dedicated to improving a website’s SEO.
The good news is that managing your SEO in WordPress is pretty reasonable. Well, at least with the right tool it is, and Wincher can really help.
How to Improve SEO with Wincher Rank Tracker
Step 1: Install Wincher Rank Tracker
Wincher Rank Tracker is a free Google rank tracker. It allows you to add up to 10 keywords to a single piece, suggests keywords you may want to use, displays analytical data to help you see how your website is performing, and much more.
I mentioned earlier that this plugin is limited compared to the actual Wincher.com, and that’s true. For example, on the actual website, you are not limited to just 10 keywords.
Therefore, you may want to consider visiting the website for more options.
Note: This plugin only examines Google’s search engine. Thus, if you want to rank well on other engines, you will want to find another tool.
Let’s start by clicking on Plugins and selecting the Add New option on the left-hand admin panel.
Search for Wincher Rank Tracker in the available search box.
Click on the “Install Now” button and activate the plugin for use.
Step 2: Connect To A Wincher Account
Now, this plugin is free to use, but you will need to create a Wincher account to use it. This account is also necessary if you want to use the website itself, so it’s killing two birds with one stone.
On the left-hand admin panel, click on Google Rankings.
A small pop-up will appear asking you to connect to your Wincher account. Click on the “Connect to Wincher” button.
Another small pop-up window will appear. If you already have a Wincher account, you can log in here. If not, click on the Sign-Up option.
While I won’t cover the entire sign-up process, I do want to cover the first choice you need to make: the search engine you want to use. You may be surprised to find this out, but there are multiple Google search engines. For instance, most countries have their own tailored for local results and news.
While the algorithm used is identical, you are essentially starting as a new website when you try to rank in another country. For this reason, it is very important you choose the search engine of the country you’re targetting.
After that, you must verify your email. And be careful, the verification will take you to the Wincher website, where it will tell you that you need a paid account. Go back to the small pop-up window to continue.
Simply click on the “Approve” button to give Wincher access to your website, and you are ready to go.
Step 3: Add A Keyword
Now that you are connected to Wincher, it’s time to add a keyword and use the free Google rank checker.
To begin, click on the “Add Keywords” button.
A small text box will appear under the button. Enter the keyword you want to use and then click on the “Add” button.
Note: The plugin may take a while to produce a result when adding your first keyword. Simply reload the page and it will be there.
The plugin will then add that keyword to your keyword list. This will display some information about the keyword like your position, the change in your position, cost per click (CPC), volume, and traffic.
You can also click on it for additional data.
You should also notice that some more analytical tools are above including a SERP ranking tracker. Unfortunately, since you just installed the plugin, it may take some time to actually see some results. That said, if you already rank for a keyword, you can view useful information.
This information includes your website average position, the amount of traffic you receive, and the position distribution. If you have no information now, that’s completely normal.
It’s worth pointing out that you can sort this information by time intervals. Simply use the drop-down to select the correct time frame.
And that’s really all there is to the plugin. It’s a simple tool that can help you find the best keywords to rank for and how well you are actually ranking for them. Just remember that this plugin is a limited version of Wincher.com.
If you want more features, you can pay for a premium account. This will let you go past the 10 keyword limit and much more.
Does This Work Well With Google Analytics?
Yes, in fact, it’s highly recommended to use Google Analytics in conjunction with all SEO tools.
This is because Google Analytics is the gold standard of SEO analytical tools. It provides everything a website could need and it comes directly from the source…Google. Not only does it provide keyword info, but tracks problems with your website.
It even explains in detail what is wrong to help you identify and fix any problems hurting your website’s SEO. That said, using other SEO tools can help you find even better keywords to rank for and provide other useful bits of information.
There should never be a situation where using one SEO tool excludes another. Well, unless the WordPress plugins cause a conflict with one another, which is uncommon.
Keywords Are Just Half The Battle
There’s no denying the importance of a keyword. They give you an objective to aim for and help visitors find the content you produce. However, this is just half of the battle. There are a plethora of other factors you need to consider.
For example, you need to create an XML sitemap for your website. This is a map of your website that tells Google what your website has and where it can find the content. You also need to be aware of how important URL structures are.
You also need to be aware of the competition. And in some cases, this might be the most important factor. It’s very difficult, and sometimes impossible, to beat an established brand at ranking for certain keywords. Be aware of who you are up against.
The good news is that you have a ton of options you can use for free to achieve amazing results.
